No matter how healthy of a diet you follow, you’re always going to crave a treat every once in awhile. Chocolate peanut butter no-bake energy bites (a mouthful, I know) have grown to be my FAVORITE. They offer just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy, and the best part about it is that it only takes about 10 minutes to prepare. Here’s how you can make it today:
Ingredients
1 ½ cups dry rolled oats (Bob’s Red Mill Old Fashioned)
1 cup of natural peanut butter (Great Value)
¼ cup of honey (Great Value)
2 heaping spoonfuls of cocoa powder (Saco Conscious Kitchen)
2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (Bake Believe)
2 pinches of shredded coconut (Optional)
Cinnamon to taste (Optional)
Instructions
Simply dump all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix until everything is thoroughly combined.
After this, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place the mixture in the refrigerator. Allow it to chill for about 30 minutes. Then, take the bowl out of the refrigerator and using the chilled mixture, form bite sized balls.
You can store the extras in the refrigerator for 2 weeks in an airtight container, and storing them in the freezer will keep them good to eat for much longer.
